Ten minutes outside of Baltimore and 40 minutes north of Washington, D.C., BWI offers more than 300 domestic and international non-stop flights a day.

The airport's main terminal is serviced by 19 domestic air carriers and includes a business service center with a Bureau de Change, as well as a Traveler's Insurance Bureau. Additional shops and services include seven major car rental companies, a Chevy Chase Banking Center, CK's Restaurant, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Hudson News, gift shops, an observation deck, and a children's playground.

A 365,000-square-foot pier doubles BWI's international capacity, facilitating easy flight connections to more than 45 cities worldwide via any of its nine international carriers.

Easy access to BWI from surrounding areas is available thanks to a variety of transportation services.

Supershuttle offers door-to-door service as well as hotel pick-up, with rates ranging from $11 to $75 one way. Passengers must call ahead for reservations (1-800-BLUE-VAN).

Limo service is also available courtesy of Executive Limousine, with rates ranging from $25 to $109 one way, depending on distance and number of passengers.

The cost of a taxi to Baltimore is approximately $17, and to Columbia, approximately $25.

Amtrak's Northeast Direct Service and MARC's Baltimore-Washington commuter trains stop at BWI Rail Station (for Amtrak call 1-800-USA-RAIL, for MARC call 1-800-325-RAIL).
