Williamsburg Winery included in multiple new books
JAMES CITY -- The Williamsburg Winery has been listed in multiple new book releases.
“Journeys of Entrepreneurs” is by Lee Rice, a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond. The book, according to the author, “captures stories of risk-takers who improved themselves, their employees, their customers and their communities.”
Among the vignettes is one on the development of the Williamsburg Winery and its contribution to greater Williamsburg.
Two travel books, the forthcoming “The New York Times, 36 Hours: 150 weekends in the USA and Canada,” as well as the New York Times bestseller “1,000 Places to See Before You Die” feature Williamsburg Winery as a destination for guests and visitors.
“It is especially gratifying to see our operation recognized not just as a business but for its contribution to our community,” winery founder and CEO Patrick Duffeler said in a press release. “It was our intent from Day One to create an agriculturally based wine production center that had roots in history, that provides visitors with quality value products and that would make our working associates and our entire community proud. “
Duffeler and his wife, Francoise, just returned from presenting Williamsburg Winery wines to the British Circle of Wine Writers. The group’s chairman, Stephen Spurrier, commented positively on the winery’s Trianon, a Cabernet Franc, and on Gabriel Archer Reserve. Both wines were again listed in the London magazine Decanter in its roster of the World’s Best Wines.”
