HAMPTON — Melvin Jones knows he has plenty of talent on his indoor track team.

But even the veteran coach was amazed following Lafayette High’s boys track team’s victory during the Hampton Roads Elite High School Showcase held at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton last weekend.

Holdsworth, Garrett Losty, Michael Sonnek and Aaron Hooks placed third in the 1,600-meter relay (3:33.28).

Alejandro Nava finished fourth in the pole vault (10-0) and Warren Atkins placed fifth in the shot-put (39-8).
