Jones was sentenced in January to six months in prison, a term she began serving in March, and 400 hours of community service in each of the two years after her release.
After repeatedly denying that she used performance-enhancing drugs, Jones admitted in October she had lied to federal investigators in November 2003. Jones also admitted lying about her knowledge of the involvement of Tim Montgomery, the father of her older son and a former 100-meter world-record holder, in a scheme to cash millions of dollars worth of stolen or forged checks.
She was sentenced to six months on the steroid case and two months on the check-fraud case but is serving those sentences concurrently.

The San Antonio Spurs re-signed forward Kurt Thomas. The team did not disclose terms of the deal. Thomas averaged 4.5 points and 4.9 rebounds for the Spurs in 28 games. ... Point guard Sebastian Telfair signed a multiyear deal to stay with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He averaged 9.3 points and 5.9 assists last season.
•SoccerFormer D.C. United star Freddy Adu will move from Portugal's Benfica to play with Monaco next season in the French league. Benfica said late Monday that the 19-year-old midfielder will join Monaco on a season-long loan, and the French club then will have the option of signing him to a permanent contract. ... D.C. United's Major League Soccer match with the visiting Houston Dynamo was postponed because of a power outage. Team officials say it has been rescheduled for tonight.
•Horse racingThe Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission cut jockey Jeremy Rose's suspension in half. Rose, who won the 2005 Preakness and Belmont Stakes aboard Afleet Alex, was initially suspended for six months after he struck Appeal to the City in the face in a race June 23.
