The daughter of a military aviator, Cindy Lou Hensley married another, John McCain, in 1980. Two years later, she found herself in the role of politician's wife when McCain (center) won the Congressional seat of retiring Republican John Rhodes Jr. (right), a former House Minority Leader from Arizona.
