Triathlon triggers temporary closures Sunday during REV3 marathon

On Sunday, June 23, more than 1,200 athletes will participate in the Revolution 3 (REV3) Williamsburg Triathlon. Portions of roads throughout James City County and the City of Williamsburg will be temporarily closed to accommodate the 56-mile cycling course and 13-mile running course of the race.

JAMESTOWN - Guests can meet Don Diego de Molina, a Spanish commander, captured near a Virginia fort in 1611, during the program, “‘…my capture and the extraordinary occurrences’: Don Diego de Molina, Captive and Spy,” at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 and 3 p.m. Saturday, June 22 at Historic Jamestowne. He will be allowed an interview during the 30-minute program with those wishing to meet him but, beware – he is alleged to be a Spanish spy! Interviews will be held in the Jamestown Memorial Church.
