Its stop at the temporary popup shop on the Magnificent Mile marks the start of the team's trophy tour. Fans will be able to take photos with the hardware between noon and 3 p.m. at the store (663 N. Michigan Ave.).
The trophy makes its next appearance at City Hall on Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
From there, it will visit several unspecified locations across Chicago before going on the road across the state to Bloomington, Champaign, the Quad Cities, Rockford and Springfield. After that it's on to South Bend, Indianapolis and other stops in Indiana.
The trophy then will go on display in Des Moines, where the team has a minor-league affiliate, as well as various cities in Iowa, then barnstorm through the Midwest.
The Cubs' Mesa, Arizona-complex will host the trophy during spring training before it returns to Wrigley Field for the April 10 home opener. The team will post schedules and other information about the trophy and collect fan social media posts with it on cubs.com/trophytour, and fans also can follow #CubsTrophyTour on Twitter and Instagram.
The new Cubs store, run by Wrigley Field concessions and merchandise operator Levy Restaurants, occupies the old Garmin space at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Erie Street.
The store will be open through April and expands on the line of products offered at Wrigley, including holiday gifts, World Series items and exclusive apparel from Major League Baseball clothing brands Majestic Athletic, New Era and Under Armour.
Store hours are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
