Hampton’s homage to World War I military history

Hampton History Museum had a living history event Saturday, marking 100 years since the U.S. entered World War I.

Re-enactor Ryan Young of the 318th Infantry Regiment talked about a World War I gas mask during the event.

Charlie Gaskell tried on a World War I helmet and trenchcoat.

A World War I gas mask made from rubberized canvas was part of the display.
