A Norfolk man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to a July 30 homicide, officials said.
Demetrius McGregor, 32, of the 8600 block of Kearsarge Place, has also been charged with the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection with the incident, according to a police news release.
McGregor is charged in relation to the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Maxie Mock on July 30 in the 1500 block of Azalea Garden Road.
Police and paramedics responded to the area July 30 and found Mock dead at the scene, the release said. McGregor was arrested Friday in Norfolk without incident, and is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond, the release said.
