York schools receive NOAA grant

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Chesapeake Bay Office awarded $225,000 to the York County School Division over three years to implement meaningful watershed educational experiences in secondary schools, according to a statement from the division. The money will be used to support professional development for teachers and field trips for students in grades 6 and 7, as well as biology and earth science courses.
