Chesapeake Experience will present its fourth annual wine tasting from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at 217 West Queens Drive in Williamsburg.
The evening will feature seven wines and selected hors d’oeuvres such as Chesapeake Bay seafood cakes, shrimp cocktail, chicken satay and clams oreganata, as well as bite-sized desserts. There’ll be a silent auction as well.
“The money we raise on one night goes toward student scholarships all year,” says Executive Director Jill Bieri. “Without these scholarships, many children would not be able to attend our camps or school field experiences.”
Chesapeake Experience is an environmental education non-profit organization dedicated to creating on-the-water, hands-on, field experiences for students, teachers, and the public to increase stewardship of the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
Tickets are $45 per person, available by calling 757-890-0502 or by visiting www.chesapeakeexperience.org.
