NU sleep researcher: Exercise fights insomnia, but it takes time
While exercise is often recommended to help with insomnia, a recent study by Northwestern University shows that the impact of hitting the gym might take some time to kick in when it comes to better sleep. We talked to study author Dr. Kelly Glazer Baron, a clinical psychologist and director of the behavioral sleep program at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, about the connection between a good night's sleep and exercise.
