Jayson Jones, a German-born veteran of the 2000 and 2008 Olympic Games, is training for his third try at a world medal in track and field — for Belize, his parents' home country. But while getting ready for the 2016 Summer Games, the South Florida resident is not only busy juggling his daily workout regimen and raising two kids, ages 3 and 6. He's also running a full-time business as a financial consultant.

It's her fourth year with the team, which is preparing for the upcoming hockey season, and she maintains a full-time job with a law firm. To do it all, she has a workout routine that cardiovascularly might be tougher than what the Panthers themselves do. And she relaxes occasionally with a glass of red wine.

Cara Rosenthal is an ex-Miami Dolphins cheerleader who has competed in two seasons of CBS's "The Amazing Race." After being kicked off during an episode that aired in March, Rosenthal has kept in shape — working out five days a week in Boca Raton and Davie. A lifelong dancer, she says she needs mental stimulation to balance her physical workouts. Although she hits the gym three days a week for weight and endurance training, she takes dance classes twice a week for her muscles, cardio and mind.

A medical student in addition to a beauty queen, she eats lots of vegetables (and chocolate) and exercises up to six days a week, sometimes twice a day. Garcia said she was born with spina bifida and scoliosis, so exercise also helps eliminate pain.

The wife and mother of two daughters is pregnant with twins.

She plays all four female lead roles: a mechanical doll, a self-destructive singer, a treacherous courtesan and the diva Stella. To do it all, Futral exercises regularly and eats healthy.

Keith Sims played offensive guard for the Miami Dolphins from 1990 to 1997 and for the Washington Redskins for three more years. Like many NFL linemen, this three-time All Pro suffered through leg and other injuries and, after retiring, he lacked the workout goal of preparing for Sunday games. So he gained fat, hitting 380 pounds, while losing muscle. But when friends and ex-teammates started dying of obesity, he decided to regain control of his body. He's now lost more than 100 pounds, with much of it coming off after lap-band surgery in August.

Viktoria Telek won Wilhelmina Models' 2009 Hot Body Model Search, which awarded her with a five-year contract. She entered at an open casting call at a Vitamin Shoppe in Miami and competed against thousands nationwide. Since then, she has appeared in Shape and other magazines while still teaching boot camp on South Beach, exercising nonstop, and selling real estate.

To write these books Born makes use of his law-enforcement career, including his current work as a special agent for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He previously worked with the U.S. Marshals and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.

Christine Cruz is the biggest fitness buff at WSVN. Channel 7's morning news anchor works full time, has two preteens, and trains for half marathons seven days a week. It seems paradoxical, but the more this Miami native exercises, the less tired she becomes.
