Go here: Located within the Poconos Mountains of Pennsylvania and Pike County, is nature-oriented Bushkill, Pennsylvania. The town hosts a 45 mile network of trails in the Thunder Swamp Trail system, the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and plenty of opportunities to swim, fish and kayak. Bushkill is arguable best known for Bushkill Falls, a collection of eight waterfalls that have been described as the "Niagara of Pennsylvania."

The resort is in a location central to the Poconos Mountains, Delaware River and Bushkill Falls. The resort offers several suites and rooms, starting at $121 a night. Eat here: For a chance to see the making of fudge, or just a taste of the delicious sweets offered, visitors can go to the Fudge Kitchen, located in the Bushkill Falls Park.

Don't miss this: Bushkill Falls. Of the eight waterfalls featured in Bushkill Falls, don't miss seeing the main one, a 100-foot waterfall. Various hiking networks and trails, colored coded by difficulty, are spread throughout the park. The trails give visitors an opportunity to see both the Pennsylvanian wildlife and views of the waterfalls. The park also has a picnic area, souvenir shops and different exhibits, such as the Native American exhibit or Wildlife exhibit. Tickets range from $6 to $10 depending on age.
