Break out the butterbeer. A three-day "Celebration of Harry Potter" is set for Universal Orlando in January.
The event, co-hosted with Warner Bros., will feature Q&A sessions and film tributes with actors and filmmakers from the "Harry Potter" series of movies. The celebrities that will attend will be announced later, Universal says. The celebration is set for Jan. 24-26, 2014.
Another featured activity will be a wand masterclass hosted by Paul Harris, who trained the cast for the films.
Most of the celebration's events will be open to all Universal Orlando park guests, but special packages that reserve seating at the sessions and include an exclusive nighttime reception at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will go on sale at noon on Aug. 22.
The special packages include a three-night hotel stay, three days of park passes to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, early admission to Wizarding World with breakfast at its Three Broomsticks restaurant, reserved seating for select events and the evening reception.
Package price for an on-site hotel start at $675 per person. Off-site hotel packages (at a nearby "Universal Partner Hotel") start at $395 per person.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened at Universal's Islands of Adventure in June 2010. An expansion, based on the Diagon Alley section of the Potterverse, is under construction at neighboring Universal Studios. It is set to open sometime in 2014, Universal has said.
