Universal Orlando: More Mannheim Steamroller plus annual pass deal for Floridians
Universal Orlando has unwrapped its holiday plans, and they include six concerts by Mannheim Steamroller. The group's return engagement to Universal Studios theme park will be on the first three Saturdays and Sundays of December. Also returning are the Macy's Holiday Parade at the Studios and Grinchmas -- including the "Grinchmas Wholiday Spectacular" musical -- at Universal's Islands of Adventure.

Universal's holiday celebrations begin Friday, Dec. 3, and run through Jan. 1. This marks the 10th year that balloons from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade have made appearances at the park. The nightly event will include a specially designed float to salute the milestone and end with a tree-lighting ceremony with Santa Claus. The parade step-off time varies, but usually is around 5 p.m. The Mannheim Steamroller concerts will follow the parade on Dec. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 at the park's Music Plaza.

Universal Studios also presents holiday versions of its stage shows and hosts a Holiday Village attraction with hot chocolate, roasted chestnuts, a cupcake-decorating location and other retail opportunities.

Next door at Islands of Adventure, Grinchmas with various Whos from Who-ville will run throughout the days. There will be multiple performances of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," which includes a Mannheim Steamroller soundtrack.

Universal Orlando has also introduced an annual-pass deal for Florida residents. The promotion offers 14 months of admission for the price of 12. Passes must be purchased by Jan. 1, 2012. Click here for more details about the Universal Orlando annual pass deal.
