4-H yard sale fundraiser--To support the state 4-H Horse Show is held 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the James City-Williamsburg Community Center, Community Room A.

17th annual Williamsburg Cup tournament-- Virginia Legacy Soccer Club hosts the tourney and expo Saturday and Sunday. Games played throughout the day, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at a variety of sites throughout James City and York counties, including Warhill Sports Complex. The Williamsburg Cup Expo, new this year, features a soccer video game competition, skills challenges, three-player mini tournament, vendor fair, costume characters, food vendors, prizes and giveaways throughout the day, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at Warhill Indoor Sports Complex, 5700 Warhill Trail. Both the tournament and expo are free to the public. Free parking. 253-1947.

Aromas--Hosts an evening of music performed by Kevin Tully, 8-10:30. No reservations. 221-6676.

Back to School Bounce-- James-York Ministry Fellowship hosts the event 1-3 p.m. Enjoy bouncing, games, prizes, Sno-cones and more while celebrating going back to school. Elementary school-aged children receive free school supplies, while they last. 1042 Penniman Rd.

Book-signing--John Miller, author of ``Fisherville, Coral Sea & Midway Aboard the USS Yorktown CV5 and Beyond to the Present,'' signs copies of his book 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Watermen's Museum Gift Shop in Yorktown. Miller is an aviator with more than 18,000 flying hours.

Exhibit closes--Art-cade Gallery presents ``Summer of Love Posters,'' including selected original San Francisco psychedelic posters from 1967. Free outdoor concert--The Virginia Symphony's 11th annual concert, under the baton of Matthew Kraemer, returns to Historic Yorktown at 7:30 p.m. at the Yorktown Victory Monument. Arrive early with lawn chairs and picnic baskets. The Fifes and Drums of York Town provide a pre-concert performance at 6 p.m. Food vendors available. 890-4490.
