JAMES CITY - Songstress, actress, author and country legend LeAnn Rimes will perform at Busch Gardens Williamsburg on July 26. Rimes will be the final act of the 2014 Busch Gardens LIVE concert series.
Rimes has sold more than 40 million albums, won two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards. Rimes is the youngest recipient of a Grammy, and was also the first country recording artist to win in the “Best New Artist” category.
She has placed 42 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, 13 of which are top-10 hits, and has scored numerous hit singles in her career, including “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” which went No.1 in 11 countries, and “How Do I Live,” which is the second longest charting song ever on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Rimes is set to release her 19th album on Aug. 5, a dance remix of her greatest hits titled Dance Like You Don’t Give a…Greatest Hits Remixes. The album features remixes of Rimes’ hits by famed DJs such as Dave Aude, Kaskade, Cahill, Fear of Tigers and more from her illustrious 20-year career at Curb Records. Rimes also announced a Christmas tour and new EP that coincides, ONE Christmas – chapter 1 to be released this holiday season.
Busch Gardens’ Royal Palace Theatre opens approximately two hours before the scheduled 7 p.m. performance. All Busch Gardens LIVE concerts are included with park admission. For guests’ convenience complimentary tickets are distributed throughout the day at the park’s Guest Relations building. Tickets are distributed one per person on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. All party members must be present to receive tickets. Tickets are required for entry to the concert.
