Roller coaster buffs: don’t miss the Apollo’s Chariot in Italy. Just before lunch would be best. It covers nearly 5,000 feet of track in two minutes with nine drops and speeds of 73 mph.
Hot and bothered? Head for Roman Rapids or Escape from Pompeii to cool off.
To get off your feet, catch the Wild Wings bird show. Birds swoop inches over guests’ heads and their trainers introduce the myths and lore surrounding a number of bird breeds.
With kids, stop by the children’s theater in the Land of the Dragons.
For a tame ride, try the skyrides that crisscross the park.
