Colonial Williamsburg

Don't miss it!

  • Visitor’s Center – Pick up a Visitor’s Companion for a complete schedule of events as well as a map and tips. A must-see film called Story of a Patriot is shown continuously here. The Official Guide to Colonial Williamsburg is informative, too.
  • For Families – Exhibitions, activities, programs about family life and interactive events are offered daily. Costume rentals for boys and girls are available at booths on Market Street and at the Visitor's Center.
  • Interpretive Programs – Offered throughout the Historic Area at various locations throughout the day, every day.
  • Walking Tours – Tours with a variety of themes are offered each day. Be sure to make reservations and wear comfortable shoes.
  • Play Booth Theater – See one of five different 30-minute performances on an outdoor stage similar to those erected for fairs and race days in colonial times.
  • End of Day Event - Every day at 5 p.m., weather permitting, the day's re-created events culminate in an outdoor program: Militia Muster, Fife and Drum March, The Trial and Burning of Lord North, and a Sheriff’s Auction.
  • Colonial Performances – After the candles come on, concerts, plays, performances and trials last well into the night. Liberty Pass Holders may obtain "no charge" tickets at any ticket sales location. Freedom Pass and Good Neighbor Pass holders receive a 50 percent discount on all events.
