Directions: From the west, take Interstate 64 to Exit 242
B, Route 199. Take Route 199 east to the Colonial Parkway, then follow the signs to
Yorktown.
From the east, take I-64 to Exit 250 B, follow Route 105 to Route 17. Take
Route 17 north to the exit for Yorktown via the Colonial Parkway.
From the north or south, follow Route 17, and take the exit for Yorktown
via the Colonial Parkway.

Hours of Operation: Park grounds open sunrise to sunset.
Yorktown Visitor Center:
Spring (April 5 through June 13) daily 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Summer (June 14 through August 17) daily 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Fall (August 18 through October 26) daily 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Winter (October 27 through April 4) 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Park closed December 25.

A free trolley circles Historic Yorktown daily.
York River cruises: The Miss Yorktown may be chartered for fishing or sightseeing cruises. The Yorktown Lady offers dinner and a narrated tour. Reservations and information: (757) 229-6244 Fax (757) 229-4843.
Recreation:
- Bike, jog and hike on park tour roads and along the Colonial Parkway. At Washingtons Headquarters on the Encampment Tour, a trail connects with a five-mile bike loop in adjoining Newport News Park.
- Swim in the York River at the public beach at Water Street.
- Picnic at tables near the park's Visitor Center, and at two spots in Historic Yorktown: Grace Church and at the York River beach at East Water Street.
