A big night for "Moonlight" and four other things to know this Monday morning.
1. Craft Beer Boom
Craft beer has seen an explosion over the last several years, and that is especially true in Connecticut. The Nutmeg State has seen an explosion in craft breweries - growing from 16 in 2011 to 55 at the end of January.
2. Mardi Gras Crash
A man who crashed into a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans Saturday night had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit, police said. While there were no fatalities, 28 people were injured in the crash.
3. Bill Paxton
"Titanic," "Twister" and "Aliens" star Bill Paxton died Saturday, his family said. The 61-year-old actor died from complications following a surgical procedure.
4. East Windsor
We have a location for the next casino in Connecticut. The East Windsor board of selectmen approved what would be the first casino in the state not on a Native American reservation. It would be built in a long-vacated movie theater off I-91.
"Moonlight" took home the Oscar for Best Picture (in a weird, weird end of the night). "La La Land" still had a big night, winning Best Actress and Best Director. "Manchester by the Sea" was also a big winner.
