The annual Active Aging Expo returns to Verena at The Reserve on Sept. 23, offering area residents the chance to engage with more than 30 local vendors in the areas of health, fitness, safety and learning.

“The expo is to give active seniors within the community access to the different types of local vendors that are in our area,” said Michelle Sieling, Verena at The Reserve’s director of sales.

Free and open to the public, the expo attracts upward of 300 people each year.

From volunteer opportunities to Zumba demonstrations, vendors target health and well being from all sides.

Vendors new to this year’s expo include the College of William and Mary’s Christopher Wren Association, Keynote Music Therapy, Heritage Humane Society, Senior Zumba Fitness, Riverside in Home Technology, Home Fix Custom Remodeling and OFF the Vine Market.

During the expo, Walmart’s pharmacy will also offer free flu and pneumonia shots for those over age 65. Shingles vaccinations will be available at a reduced rate.
