The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, which serves adults in the area with developmental disabilities who have aged out of special education programs, recently received some help with its mission.

The Rotary Club of the Historic Triangle, alongside the Williamsburg and James City County rotary clubs, awarded nearly $9,000 toward the Arc of Abilities, the organization’s new learning lab and support program.

The team at the Arc plans to celebrate with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. It kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Thursday inside the Abram Frink, Jr., Community Center at 8901 Pocahontas Trail, adjacent to James River Elementary School.
