The Williamsburg Area Music Teachers has a diverse program in store for its eighth annual concert to benefit scholarships for local student musicians.

The program, starting at 3 p.m. on Jan. 21, will present performances of classical and contemporary selections on instruments ranging from piano to accordion.

Some selections to expect: Rachmoninoff’s “Prelude in C# minor” on piano, “The Godfather Suite” on accordion, Manuel de Falla’s “Spanish Dance No. 1” on harp, a vocal Baroque duet and “Royal Feline’s Lullaby” for piano and vocal.

Donations accepted during the concert support the Williamsburg Music Club’s “Grants-in-Aid” program, providing scholarships to dedicated young musicians throughout Greater Williamsburg. Scholarship recipients are decided through a competitive audition process; the deadline for application is Jan. 20.

Performers will mingle with audience members in a reception following the benefit concert, held at Williamsburg Baptist Church on Richmond Road.
