Just one day remains until First Night, a New Year’s Eve tradition in Williamsburg.
The family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration presents live entertainment throughout downtown Williamsburg, the College of William and Mary, Colonial Williamsburg and New Town, in hopes of uniting the community on Dec. 31.
With the purchase of a $15 button, patrons can access nearly 40 performances, starting at 1 p.m. and culminating in the fireworks display at midnight. Performers are listed below.
Children’s programs will occur in the Matthew Whaley School from 3-7:30 p.m., including music, magic and children’s fireworks.
For more information or to purchase buttons, visit firstnightwilliamsburg.org.
This year, First Night-goers can also stop by Liberty’s Ice Pavilion in Merchants Square. The skating rink will remain open until 12:30 a.m.
