As Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day returns for a 14th year Saturday, Colonial Williamsburg will celebrate with a week of free admission to its art museums through Sept. 29.

That includes the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum, which features exhibits such as “Upholstery CSI,” showcasing the work of Leroy Graves, Colonial Williamsburg’s senior upholstery conservator, and “Artists on the Move,” exploring early American professional portraiture.

The free admission also extends to Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum. The showcase of more than 7,000 folk art objects spanning the 1700s-1900s, features exhibitions highlighting Navajo weavings, sewn and hooked rugs and more.

Admission also includes Hennage Auditorium performances such as “First Impressions,” chronicling Sally Fairfax and Martha Washington’s affection for George Washington, and “1607: Music for a Newfound Land.”
