‘Tis the season to sing along to classic holiday tunes.

Do so at Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra’s popular Holiday Pops concerts Dec. 3 and 4 at Kimball Theatre, right in the middle of Grand Illumination festivities.

The 50-minute program features jazz vocalist Brett Cahoon of Good Shot Judy in favorites such as “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” as well as instrumental classics like “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer” performed by the orchestra.

During one such instrumental piece, “Sleigh Ride,” the orchestra will invite an audience member to conduct, as is tradition.

“Conducting ‘Sleigh Ride’ on our annual Holiday Pops program has proven the greatest gift of all,” said music director Janna Hymes in a press release—Hymes provides the chosen audience members with a conducting lesson leading up to live performances.

Performances occur at 1:30 and 3 p.m. on each day, Dec. 3 and 4, at Kimball Theatre, 428 W. Duke of Gloucester St. Tickets are $30, available at colonialwilliamsburg.com or by calling 1-800-HISTORY.
