Local blues group In Layman Terms will film its second music video, and the band needs extras – 100 extras, to be exact.

The band invites those interested to Triangle Restaurant on Tuesday afternoon for the filming of “Fake It ’til I Make It.”

Siblings Cole and Logan Layman last released a music video in 2015 for “Won’t Let It,” a powerful song Logan penned to encourage those fighting cancer.

“Fake It ’til I Make It” is no less powerful, inspired by a poem their mom Sandy Layman wrote about her depression.

“They chose this song just because it means so much to our family,” Sandy Layman said.

Locally based videographer Keith Reagan will film and produce the music video.

The band asks that extras wear dark colors, dressed like they’re attending a rock concert or club, and arrive to the restaurant at 4 p.m. Filming will last until 5 p.m.

Triangle Restaurant plans to offer a discounted short menu and free fountain drinks within that time period, as well as drink specials for those over age 21.

The Layman siblings, both students at Warhill High School, have made a name for themselves in the Hampton Roads blues scene and far beyond. This year, the siblings competed in the 2016 International Blues Challenge, toured around Texas and Mississippi and released their debut album, “Tangled.”

Cole recently graduated, and he’s headed to Berkeley University in the fall, but In Layman Terms has no plans to slow down.

“They’re going to keep pushing forward,” Sandy Layman said. “I think it’s really cool that they’re doing this right before he leaves.”
