National Mead Day: Celebrate the momentous holiday with live music from master accordionist David Gussman, who will perform music of French, Celtic, German and Italian origin, among others. Grace Church Summer Concert Series: The series continues with Lana Puckett and Kim Person, award-winning songwriters known for their intricate guitar playing, precise harmonies and emotional vocals. 5 p.m. on Sunday at Grace Episcopal Church, 111 Church St., Yorktown. Free.

A Dog’s Life: Take a guided tour of dog-related art and explore the lives of dogs as pets and workplace helpers in the 18th century. 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg’s Hennage Auditorium. Repeats every Wednesday in August. Included with museum admission.

Yorktown Music Jamboree: Shanty Grass will open with a bluegrass set, then the Billy Joe Trio will entertain with their brand of funky blues rock. 6-9 p.m. at the Watermen’s Museum, 309 Water Street, Yorktown. $5 at the gate, children under 14 free.

“Peter Pan, Jr.”: Backstage Theatre presents a modern retelling based on J.M. Barrie’s classic story and Disney’s iconic animated film. The young actors’ portrayals of memorable characters is fun for the whole family. 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Williamsburg Regional Library Theatre. Free.

Brass Cannon Brewing One Year Anniversary: The Williamsburg beer company celebrates its first birthday with brews and Native American cuisine from Hungry Hungry Arrow. Elderberry Jam jams from 3-6 p.m. and the Delta Daggers play 6-9 p.m. Noon-9 p.m. Saturday at Brass Cannon Brewing. Free admission.

38 Special: Busch Gardens’ summer concert series continues with the classic rock band, known for hits like “Hold On Loosely” and “Caught Up in You.” 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Busch Gardens. Included with park admission. Complimentary concert wristbands will be distributed on a first come, first served basis on performance days at the Concert Ticket Distribution Center located at the ticket windows across from Stroller Rentals.

Whistlebelly: Enjoy food from the chefs at DoG Street Pub, Blue Talon Bistro, the Catering Company and others with a menu featuring tacos, hot dogs, fried candy bars, cheeseburger egg rolls and more.
