‘Christmas Dreams’: The Institute for Dance presents the story of a Williamsburg woman transported to a magical world where she must find her way home in time for Christmas morning. 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kimball Theatre. Christmas Cantata: The adult choir at James River Baptist Church presents a musical of traditional Christmas songs alongside original works composed exclusively for the performance, all of which help tell the story behind the holiday. 11 a.m. Sunday at James River Baptist Church, 4931 Centerville Road. ‘At Christmas, Be Mery’: Historic Jamestowne celebrates Virginia’s Christmas history with a special program chronicling newly arrived settlers’ encounter with Governor Yeardley and a band of carolers. ‘Four of a Kind’: Wildlife photographer Ken Conger will present images taken during his adventures in the Amazon, Arctic, India and America throughout 2016 combined with stories and facts about the animals he photographed. 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Williamsburg Regional Library. Free.
