Florists, gardeners and enthusiasts alike can look forward to the Garden Club of Virginia’s 78th Annual Rose Show, hosted by Hampton Roads Garden Club.
This year, the show features a “Romancing the Rose” theme, with each flower arrangement interpreting a quote from various romantic novels, plays or poems.
Free and open to the public, the show is scheduled from 2-6 p.m. on Oct. 5 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Oct. 6 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
Exhibitors will be provided a romantic quote and style of flower arranging, and judges will present awards at the show’s end.
Judges will also present awards for a concurrent horticulture exhibit, “Every Rose Deserves a Companion.” Participation in the horticulture exhibit is open to the public.
