There’s a unique thrill that accompanies perusing antique wares and finding something mesmerizing, unlike anything you could walk into a department store and purchase. York County hopes to offer that kind of experience Nov. 4 with its inaugural Vintage Marketplace.

During the marketplace event, the McReynolds Athletic Complex will be filled with old furniture, vintage clothes and jewelry alongside other handcrafted items. Antique windows and doors, rustic wood signs and the like encourage creative repurposing. The site will also feature collectibles, art, home decor and more.

A lineup of food trucks include offerings from the Virginia Blue Crab Co., Papa Murphy’s and Boyd’s Tasty Dogs. New Sound Alliance and Unleaded will provide live entertainment.

The York County Vintage Marketplace runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 4 at the McReynolds Athletic Complex, located at 412 Sports Way in Yorktown. In the event of rain, the marketplace will be pushed back to Nov. 5. Admission is free.
