Continuing its 2015-2016 Pops season, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra celebrates Sinatra, who would’ve turned 100 in December, with an upcoming performance from vocalist Steve Lippia.

His vocal stylings reminiscent of a young Sinatra, Bobby Darin and Harry Connick Jr., Lippia is renowned for his interpretation of standards and traditional pop music.

Lippia has performed to symphony audiences across the country. And, with a blend of youthful energy and timeless classics, he appeals to new and longtime listeners.

The vocalist will perform standards such as “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “The Lady is a Tramp” and “Just the Way You Are,” as Benjamin Rous conducts the orchestra.

Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m., Jan. 29 at Ferguson Center for the Arts in Newport News, and 8 p.m., Jan. 30 at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk.

Tickets range from $25-$95. Call 757-892-6366 or visit virginiasymphony.org.
