10 Rhythms on the Riverwalk: The penultimate event in Yorktown’s fall concert series continues with the Williamsburg Classic Swing Orchestra. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at Riverwalk Landing. Free.

9 Movies under the Stars: Bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks to enjoy an outdoor screening of the animated family film, “Moana.” 8:30 p.m. Friday at Chickahominy Riverfront Park, 1350 John Tyler Highway. Free.

8 A Visit with Martha Washington: Bruton Parish’s “Sweet Discourses” series returns with a look at the first first lady. 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Bruton Parish Episcopal Church; coffee and dessert served at 6:30 p.m. Free.

7 Archaeology Public Dig Day: Archaeologists from the Fairfield Foundation will lead attendees through digging for and sorting through artificants that date back hundreds of years. 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday at New Quarter Park, 100 Quarter Drive. Free.

4 ShinDIG at Historic Jamestowne: An evening of barbecue and bluegrass along the James River benefits the Jamestown Rediscovery Foundation. 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Historic Jamestowne. $40, tickets must be purchased in advance at historicjamestowne.org.

3 Yorktown Art Stroll: Dozens of local artists showcase their talents spanning paintings, photography, pottery and more. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Riverwalk Landing. Free.

2 Brews that Benefit: The Junior Women’s Club of Williamsburg event combines beer, food, live music and more to support the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation. 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Alewerks Satellite Room in Williamsburg Premium Outlets. 1 Great Williamsburg Adventure Race: For the fourth year, teams of two-to-four members race throughout the city, facing puzzles, riddles and other challenges in pursuit of prizes and bragging rights. 3-6 p.m. Sunday, starting at the Williamsburg Community Building, 401 N.
