Five new members will join Williamsburg Landing’s board of directors.
The Continuing Care Retirement Community recently announced the newly appointed members, including Larry Foster, Ted Juraschek, Karen Riordan, Linda Taylor Stallings and Anton Campanella.
The new members complete Landing’s local volunteer board of 18 total members, including two voting residents: president and immediate past-president of the Residents’ Council.
“The new board members bring a wealth of experience to Williamsburg Landing and characterize the boards’ long-standing practice of high level engagement with a focus on serving the greater community,” Greg Storer, Landing’s president and CEO, said in the announcement.
The new members’ experiences spans local government, business, medical products and nonprofits.
Foster recently retired from a 38-year career spent in local government, most recently as general manager of the James City Service Authority. Foster’s previous experience as a nonprofit board member includes United Way of Greater Williamsburg and the Salvation Army Advisory Board.
Riordan, current president and CEO of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance, has more than 25 years of experience in marketing and business management.
Juraschek spent 32 years with Becton Dickinson and Company, a Fortune 500 medical products company. He earned the Bronze Star medal serving in Vietnam with the U.S. Army.
With more than 40 years spent in health care and nonprofits, Stallings’ experience includes heavy involvement with Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg, including as executive director, board member and volunteer.
Campanella, as newly elected Residents’ Council president, has lived at Williamsburg Landing since 2010.
“The value of a strong local board of directors, which includes residents, cannot be underestimated in today’s environment,” Storer said.
Foster, Juraschek, Riordan and Stallings will serve three-year terms, and Campanella a two-year term.
