The Rotary Club of the Historic Triangle is pleased to announce the fifth annual Rotary Invitational Basketball Jamboree on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. The Jamboree has grown to include a combination of eight local private and public high schools who will compete against each other as they gear up for the regular season. The Jamboree is sanctioned by the Virginia High School League and will include eight boys' games on Friday, November 27th, followed by eight girls' games on Saturday, November 28th. Each team will play two games.
Williamsburg Christian Academy in Williamsburg will host the tournament. They will be joined by Warhill High School, Lafayette High School, Jamestown High School, Bruton High School, Kecoughtan High School, Warwick High School and King William High School. The games will begin at 8:30 am each day.
100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit Rotary charities including Polio Plus and many local charities. The price of a ticket is set at $5 per person each day. Sponsorships are available for $250. Benefits provided to sponsors include an ad in the program, their logo on commemorative tee shirts, additional publicity and on-site visibility.
Concessions will be run by the Booster Club of Williamsburg Christian Academy with proceeds benefiting the work of the club.
