Williamsburg, Virginia (Tuesday, December 27, 2016) - Today the James Maloney Foundation, a non-profit organization established in honor of the late founder of the Williamsburg Pottery, Jimmy Maloney, presented checks to: James City County Police, James City County Fire & Rescue, York County Fire & Rescue, and the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office.
The James Maloney Foundation is solely funded by the Williamsburg Pottery, which donates one percent of its sales each year to support the Foundation's philanthropic activities. During its ten year history, the Foundation has donated more than half of a million dollars to local charities and educational institutions that serve the citizens of Williamsburg, James City County, and York County. In addition to supporting athletic programs at the College of William and Mary, the James Maloney Foundation provides college scholarships to area students.
