Williamsburg, VA - William and Mary's Bike Alliance presents International Cycling Celebrity and Slipstream Sports & Cannondale-Drapac Professional Cycling Team CEO Jonathan Vaughters on Thursday, November 9 in the Commonwealth Auditorium from 7 - 8:30 pm.
Jonathan Vaughters was once a member of the US Postal/Discovery team and raced alongside Lance Armstrong. He created Slipstream Sports to manage a globally-recognized team of competitive cyclists, after he stepped away from his own professional cycling career. His organization is a champion for ethical cycling competition, renouncing the use of performance-enhancing drugs.

His team proved successful with six riders that have placed in the top 10 during the Tour de France since 2008. Vaughter will present about his successes in the industry and his passion for ethical competition.
Sophia Palia, a Senior at William & Mary states, "As an avid cycling advocate, I am extremely excited for our speaker event with Jonathan Vaughters next month. His passion for the sport, dedication to a goal, and ability to manage a team has made him such a positive force for change in professional cycling.
