Anneliese Brei, is an author, a Williamsburg resident, a homeschooled 17-year-old high school senior, and attends the Eastern Virginia School for the Performing Arts. She has been enrolled in their Classical Ballet Division since 2007 and has danced with the American Youth Ballet Company in the annual production of the Nutcracker performed at the Ferguson Center for the Arts.
Anneliese has recently published her 3rd book, "The Song of Paquita". The book is about how a gifted ballerina's aspirations to dance the lead in Paquita are squelched when she gets injured and is sent home to confront circumstances she had been avoiding
She has dedicated the book to Sandra Balestracci, her ballet teacher. Anneliese states "all children should have a role model like her…she is the absolute best."
Anneliese has also written "She Watches" at the age of 14 and "Clocks Out of Time" at the age of 15. She plans to continue writing as much as she can and would love to be the next J. K. Rolling. She also has plans for law school.
