Anonymous donor gives $30,000 to Colonial Heritage Community Foundation

Taryn Haden, the branch manager at Citizens and Farmers Bank in Norge, was the bearer of $30,000 check, on behalf of an anonymous donor, to Colonial Heritage Community Foundation's executive director, Melissa Rehm, and president, James P. Nickols on Wednesday, May 10. According to Ms. Haden, the anonymous donor made the contribution to support the foundation's Senior Champion Program, an adult day care program. The foundation currently operates a Senior Champion Program at New Zion Baptist Church each Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and another at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no fee to participate in the program and includes a free lunch prepared by Divine Lunches, which operates out of Our Saviour's commercial kitchen. "On behalf of the foundation," Nickols said, "I thank the donor for the generous gift to our Senior Champion Program. It will make a huge difference in the foundation's efforts on behalf of seniors and their care-givers."
