The second biennial Antiques Appraisal Faire to benefit The Surry County Virginia Historical Society and Museums, Inc. will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 inside the Surry County, Virginia Parks and Recreation Center. The center is located on route 10 west, shortly beyond the town limits of Surry. The GPS address of the center is 205 Enos Drive, Spring Grove, Virginia.
This event will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The last items for evaluation will be accepted at 3:30 p.m. Assistance will be available to load and unload larger items. Pricing for items to be evaluated is as follows: $10.00 per item; 3 items for $25.00 or 5 items for $40.00. Sets of items will be priced as a single item. Surry County Virginia Historical Society members will pay $7.00 per item. Item tickets are to be purchased at the door. There is no charge to come inside to look at the Historical Society display, purchase food or participate in the "awe" of the items that will be brought in for the renowned experts to examine.
In addition to the Appraisal Faire, vintage vendors will be set up on the grounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for your shopping pleasure. Vintage items will include repurposed items, pre-1980 items, painted furniture and much more! Food vendors will also be available on the grounds to calm your munchies.
The Historical Society is very fortunate to be able to present a team of extremely knowledgeable individuals to evaluate the antiques inform the owners of the era, approximate value and item specific details.
