Arts Alive, Inc. is thrilled to announce an exciting line up of performances for our 2016-2017 Season Series at the Robinson/Olsson Civic Auditorium and Fine Arts Center in West Point, VA. Don't miss these high quality shows at a reasonable price right here in your community. Season subscriptions are at a reduced price until August 15 and are the best value for these shows. A season subscription gives the holder a guaranteed reserved seat to all performances, performance reminder postcards, invitation to the annual subscriber reception, and a reciprocal agreement with Concerts by the Bay in Mathews, VA (www.concertsbythebay.org). This reciprocal agreement allows Arts Alive subscribers to attend Concerts by the Bay performances at no additional cost. Season subscriptions are $85 for adults ($90 after August 15), $65 for seniors ages 65 and up ($75 after August 15), and $20 for students ($25 after August 15). Individual tickets for the performances are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $10 for students. The Season Series begins on Saturday, September 10 at 7 PM with Mark Collie. Mark is an American singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and producer. With sixteen singles charted on Hot Country Songs, including the top ten hits "Even the Man in the Moon Is Cryin'" and "Born to Love You". Collie has also written songs for Garth Brooks & Tim McGraw. His acting career includes roles in Fire Down Below, The Punisher, and Kill Switch. A rockabilly night to remember!
On Saturday, October 19 Adam Trent will perform at 7 PM. As one of the stars of the hit Broadway show 'The Illusionists', which shattered box office records during its 2014/2015 run, Adam is one of the most in demand illusionists working today. He has also made appearances on Good Morning America, America's Got Talent, Disney Channel, ABC, VH1, Rachel Ray, Travel Channel, SyFy and others.
Tenoré performs on Saturday, December 10 at 7 PM. Tenoré unleashes a glorious sound that breaks down musical barriers, draws together diverse cultures, and celebrates a repertoire of lyrical sweetness and dramatic strength. They are known for their powerhouse vocals, rock star charisma and invitations with audiences to sing along with them. A superior concert experience.
On Saturday, February 18 at 7 PM, Cherish the Ladies, a Grammy® Nominated Irish/American Super group will perform. With their unique spectacular blend of instrumental talents, beautiful vocals, captivating arrangements and stunning step dancing, this powerhouse group combines all the facets of Irish culture and puts forth an immensely humorous and entertaining package.
The Season Series ends with Melinda Doolittle on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 7 PM. Melinda became a household name on season six of American Idol. She has wowed audiences everywhere from the White House to the Kennedy Center to Carnegie Hall. Her debut album, Coming Back to You (2009), garnered rave reviews from critics, Including The New York Times which hailed Melinda as one of the most "phenomenally gifted" singers in years. A powerful Pop vocalist.
