Arts Alive Announces 2017-2018 Season!

Arts Alive, Inc. is thrilled to announce an exciting line up of performances for our 2017-2018 Season Series at the Robinson/Olsson Civic Auditorium and Fine Arts Center in West Point, VA. Don't miss these high quality shows at a reasonable price right here in your community.

The Season Series begins on Saturday, September 16 at 7 PM with Tony Pace. Pace combines hilarious musical comedy, crazy characters, dead-on impressions and an endless supply of explosive raw energy all wrapped around an incredible voice. On Saturday, October 21 Two on Tap will perform at 7 PM. Melissa Giattino and Ron DeStefano provide gorgeous vocals, exciting choreography and unique musical arrangements. With solos and duets this pair breathes new life into classic song-and-dance. The Rock & Roll Jubilee returns to West Point on Saturday, January 13 at 7 PM. Back by popular demand! The Jubilee features music from the Titans of Teen Town: Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers and Ricky Nelson. On Saturday, March 17 at 7 PM, 3 Redneck Tenors will perform. A new breed in the "tenor genre" featuring classically-trained veteran artists. It's like Duck Dynasty goes to Carnegie Hall - down home laughs with big city music! The Season Series ends with Side Street Strutters on Saturday, April 28 at 7 PM. The Strutters, with vocalist Meloney Collins, celebrate the 100th anniversary of recorded jazz. Vinyl Jazz-A Century Celebration is a potpourri of jazz, pop and R&B songs like Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue", Ellington's "Mood Indigo" and "All or Nothing At All" as recorded by Frank Sinatra.

Season subscriptions are at a reduced price until August 1 and are the best value for these shows. A season subscription gives the holder a guaranteed reserved seat to all performances, performance reminder postcards, invitation to the annual subscriber reception, and a reciprocal agreement with Concerts by the Bay in Mathews, VA (www.concertsbythebay.org). This reciprocal agreement allows Arts Alive subscribers to attend Concerts by the Bay performances at no additional cost. Season subscriptions are $85 for adults, $65 for seniors ages 65+, and $20 for students (after August 1: $90, $75 and $25, respectively). Individual tickets for the performances are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $10 for students.
