Arts Alive Art Exhibit and Workshop
Have you taken a workshop through Arts Alive? Would you like to show off your work? If so, now is your chance. If you have participated in an Arts Alive workshop, you are invited to show your work during the Participant's Art from Arts Alive exhibit. This exhibit will be on display from February 9 through March 15 with an art opening on February 27 at 6:30 PM prior to the performance of The Rock & Roll Jubilee. All work for shows must be ready for display and delivered by 9:00 am on Tuesday, February 9th. This exhibit will be on display in the exhibit area of the Robinson/Olsson auditorium adjacent to West Point High School on Thompson Avenue. It may be viewed during regular school hours by entering through the high school office.
Don't miss our upcoming workshop - Collage: Creating Energy and Excitement in Your Art taught by local artist, Mary Montague-Sikes on February 3! Using elements and principles of design, participants will discuss and develop ideas for a collage. Create stained tissue papers and brayer acrylics on other materials to use in a collage. Experiment with methods of building texture on paper, canvas and/or wooden supports.
