Arts Alive Opens New Season with Performance by Tony Pace!

Arts Alive is proud to announce the opening performance of its fourteenth season of performances at the Robinson/Olsson Civic Auditorium and Fine Arts Center in West Point, VA. On Saturday, September 16 at 7:00 pm Arts Alive will welcome Tony Pace. This performance is sponsored by New Kent Junior Woman's Club in honor of Betty Wallace.

When energy, music and comedy collide, it's a guarantee Tony Pace is on the stage. Pace provides clean, hilarious musical comedy, spot-on impressions, crazy characters, versatile musicianship, and an amazing endless supply of explosive raw energy. All this is wrapped around one of the most incredible serious voices that will take you on a journey through the music of yesterday, today and tomorrow. A phenomenon you need to see! Tony Pace is a Las Vegas headliner and voted best entertainment value in Atlantic City.

Individual tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors (65+), and $10 for students. Group rates are available at $15 each for groups of 10 or more. Season tickets are also still available. Prior to the performance, the Visual Arts Committee will open an art exhibit at 6:00 PM featuring art from participants in the Arts Alive Workshops. This exhibit can be viewed from September 5-October 17 in the exhibit area at the auditorium and is open during school hours by entering at the West Point High School main entrance. The Committee will also present an Encaustics/Mixed Media workshop on Tuesday, September 12 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the West Point Library. The workshop will be taught by Karen Eide, an artist at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Workshop cost is $15. Space is limited and fills quickly.
