Berkeley Oaks Welcomes Public to Fall Open House

Williamsburg, VA: Berkeley Oaks Memory Care Community is inviting the public throughout Williamsburg and surrounding area to attend the new community's Fall Open House on Thursday, September 28th. The event is free and will include tours of the newly decorated Valeo™ Neighborhood's unique living options and learn about the community's signature wellness philosophy and programs. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet with team members and hear about how family members and friends can thrive while living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Light refreshments will be served.

Valeo is the proprietary wellness philosophy of Solvere Senior Living, Berkeley Oaks' management firm. Latin for "to thrive," Valeo focuses specifically on wellness initiatives for those with memory impairments and incorporates components that examine residents' social, intellectual, spiritual, and physical well-being and supports residents and families in achieving successful aging goals.

"At Berkeley Oaks, memory care is all we do, so our programs create an environment to allow those living with dementia to thrive to the best of their abilities," said Leslie Jones, General Manager of Berkeley Oaks. "At the heart of our memory care services is the Valeo program, which is designed for successful aging by touching every aspect of residents' lives and keeping them feeling engaged, honored and fulfilled. Respecting each individual's legacy is at the core of Valeo, and our programs tap into each resident's past to call upon and preserve memories while helping residents increase awareness, joy, and interaction."
