Virginia Living Museum educator Betsy Wolin has received a Sullivan Award for outstanding service to the museum.
Wolin of Williamsburg was recognized for her overall work in education and in particular for creating a new program, "Design and Build a Living Museum," which was supported by a national grant from the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC). Wolin was also recognized for reaching a service milestone of 15 years.
The award, named for former museum director Bob Sullivan, was presented at the museum's annual meeting June 8.
The Virginia Living Museum is a private non-profit 501(c) 3 museum and education center whose mission is connecting people to nature through educational experiences that promote conservation. It is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2016.
