Chesapeake Bank promotes Houghland

Williamsburg, VA. - Chesapeake Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Leigh Houghland to Regional Executive of the bank's Williamsburg market, a position previously held by Marshall Warner. Going forward, Mr. Warner will continue with the bank in a business development and community involvement role.

Houghland, a graduate of Wake Forest University and the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking, joined Chesapeake Bank in 2015 as a commercial loan officer for the Williamsburg market. Houghland, a native of Williamsburg with a 20-year banking career, will manage the bank's retail and commercial banking presence in the Williamsburg market. "Leigh is an influential leader in the bank and the community," comments Jeff Szyperski, President and CEO of Chesapeake Bank. "He is a great fit for us culturally, and his community activities are a testament to this." Leigh is President of the Peninsula Metropolitan YMCA Board of Directors, immediate past chair of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance, and Treasurer for Child Development Resources. He and his wife Laurie live in Williamsburg and have two children.
