Chuck Smith donates to Local Authors Project at Williamsburg Regional Library

Local author Chuck Smith (left) donates a copy of "Vietnam: Stories from a War" to the Williamsburg Regional Library. Accepting the gift is adult services librarian Jesse Kelley. While a book of fictional short stories, the characters are based on individuals and composites of multiple people. The author writes about soldiers, deserters, truckers, dopers, drinkers, veterans, and Teamsters. Mr. Smith grew up in Rappahannock County, Virginia. He served in the U.S. Army and has been a Teamster, a broadcast engineer, and a satellite uplink operator. He lives in Williamsburg.
